Electric mud is what rock and roll is all about! Dirty shockrock at its finest. Youve achieved quite a high level of playing Gus. Its too late to become one of the originals in the type of music you choose to play, but your defenitely one of the best followers Ive heard. The new bulletin board "looks" good but it is extremely hard to use for those of us who are computer novices. The old bulletin board may not have been "cutting edge", but it sure seemed to be used a lot more than the new one. I first saw "Gus and The Boys" on New Years Day night, 2000 at Tavern at the Mill in Lancaster, Ohio. There was hardly anyone there but when "Electric Mud" came out; RIGHT FROM THE FIRST NOTE you would have thought they were playing in front of an arean FULL of people. They kicked my ass right out of the shoot. My buddy and I just went nuts( and were close to 50 and sober) I yelled out "Texas Flood" and with no hesitation they fucking "LAUNCHED" in to one of the best live versions I've ever heard(except when I saw SRV from the front row in Beulah Park back in 1990.) Their sound is fantastic they are tighter than a nun's pu__y and they just escalate from there. If you like rock/blues or anything even close, YOU HAVE GOT TO SEE ELECTRIC MUD!!!!!!!!!! And of course anyone who would name their band after Muddy Water's "infamous" 1968 psychedelic/blues album have got to be good!!!!!!! "GO SEE THEM THE FIRST CHANCE YOU GET!!!!!"

caught you guys at the billiard club on the 19'th of april 2001.As it was my birthday and i was feeling a bit down,i decided to hit the old stomping grounds for a drink. Imagine my suprise when i walked into the (usually overlit!) old watering hole and found it transformed into an upper class nightclub with all the recognizable features of my old hangout! As if this wasnt enough,there were unmistakable sounds ringing from the (then undisclosed)new section of the bar! As i focused into the new reality i realized these familiar sounds were actually coming from a live band doing a set in the new bar area!after settling into a seat with a reasonable view I was able to focus more closely on a 3 piece band that had apparently attended the same school of music appreciation that i had.And as i listened more and more carefully I was drawn into a world where some of the true rock/blues ledgends of our time were being reborn on the tiny stage before my eyes! The lead guitarist/singer Gus Lambros seems to be (at least)compelled by the spirit of the late Stevie Ray Vaughn in an uncanny display of both visual and acoustic deja vu. In an equal display of aptitude the rythm section mirrored this enthusiastic musician in every change and whim of musical attitude.I was amazed by the bands inescapable sense of unity and felt as if they had been playing together for years. all in all i left the show feeling as if i had witnessed a small part of a music era that i somehow hadn't been a part of (i never got to see any of the bands covered:( At the same time i felt revived somehow because i have been a fan of all these bands for decades! in closing I would just like to say that you would be doing yourselves a great disservice by missing at least one performance by these truly gifted gentlemen GOOD JOB FELLAS!
